Osibanjo for President ?
The current vice president, Yemi Osibanjo has declared his intention to run for president next year 2023.
A pre recorded video of him was released where he stated that he believed God endowed him with experiences as the country’s second citizen, to enable him serve better as President in 2023 and beyond.
He went further to say, “Dear Nigerians, for the past seven years, I have served as Vice President under a true Nigerian patriot, a servant of the nation in war and peace, and a man of integrity, President Muhammadu Buhari."
“We have, together, worked through some of the most difficult times in our nation’s history, but we have remained focused on securing the country, providing infrastructure, and growing our economy. As stipulated by the Nigerian Constitution, our tenure will end next year.
Following his declaration, a clash has ensued between his group and that of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress national leader. As we all know, they both belong to the same party and Tinubu made his declaration a long time ago.
Also, it was made known to the public that the vice president is no longer part of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, and that he has moved his membership to Ogun State.
For this act, continuous criticisms are been thrown on the vice president by his party members.
So what's your take?
