Transfer: I’ll be personally happy – Bruno Fernandes on Ronaldo’s exit from Man United

Manchester United’s midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has advised that Cristiano Ronaldo is still trying to leave the club this summer.


Ronaldo has been looking for a move away from Manchester United, in line with reviews in England, but has not found a appropriate club.

Ronaldo, who has commenced only one Manchester United three Premier league games, desires to play in the Champions League this season.

Ronaldo was dropped by Erik ten Hag for Liverpool’s visit to Old Trafford on Monday evening. He only got here in as a substitute.

Fernandes, who also plays along Ronaldo with Portugal’s national side, has urged supporters to ‘respect’ the forward’s choice concerning his future.

“I may know a thing or two, but I won’t be the one to say it.

“Cristiano is calm, he labored well this week, he did his work as he has been doing, he will keep to do so.

“For now he is a United player, I don’t know about his future, if he will leave or if he will not leave.

“I don’t think anyone has proven so far that there was no interest in Cristiano not staying.

“He can keep at a excessive degree and give us a lot of goals, but it’s his decision.

“We need to recognize what he wants to do, whatever he desires to do.

“If he’s going to stay, we’ll be happy about it, if he’s going to leave because he thinks it’s best for him, I’ll be for my part happy for him.

“The most critical thing is that he’s okay, at the highest level and makes our country proud.”
